In 1964, Paddy Hopkirk steered his indomitable Mini Cooper through the icy roads to Monte Carlo and beat the giants of motorsports. Paddy was known as “The Legend” and became an icon of motorsports around the world, a successful businessman, generous philanthropist, and brand ambassador. This monument is more than bronze. - A life-sized bronze monument of Paddy and his 1964 Mini Cooper
- To be permanently installed at the main entrance of the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, UK
- Created by a master sculptor J. Paul Nesse, with exacting detail of Paddy and “33 EJB” as they appeared in the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally
- Supported and approved by both the Hopkirk family and the British Motor Museum

Monument Design & Construction
World – renowned automotive sculptor Mr. J. Paul Nesse has been chosen to design and create the Monument, which will be cast in high quality bronze at a foundry in the USA.
Monument Location
The Monument will be prominently located at the front entrance of the British Motor Museum, the world’s largest collection of historic British cars, and maintained in perpetuity.
